We recently had the pleasure of attending a full day event called “Meeting with a Polyglot” (Spotkanie z poliglotą) organized by Elementary school number 4 in Radzionkow (Szkoła podstawowa nr 4 w Radzionkowie), where polyglot Konrad Jerzak vel Dobosz, the creator of the Elemelingua Method, was the main guest accompanied by Khushbu Jerzak vel Dobosz. The event was a true celebration of languages and culture, and we were honored to be a part of it.
The kids at the school were so enthusiastic and prepared for weeks, even presenting a scene from “Anne of Green Gables” and the poem “Nic dwa razy się nie zdarza” (Nothing Happens Twice) in English! Konrad shared his language learning wisdom with the kids, teaching them Spanish and engaging with them in discussions on various linguistic topics. It was truly inspiring to see the kids’ passion for language learning. In the end, the 8th graders spent some free time with Konrad, engaging with him in conversation and sharing their goals and dreams for the future.
This elementary school in Radzionków focuses on languages, and teaches English and German to the kids. The school director and teachers were amazing hosts. We ended the visit with a high tea and left some books for the kids as a present.
It was a wonderful experience, and inspiring for everyone involved!
