Learning enters the bloodstream and is very enjoyable.
What was the biggest problem for me before I signed up for the course? First of all, the courses in the language schools I attended were focused on learning grammar through rules, remembering conjugations and grammatical forms, learning sets of words and reading short stories and dialogues. Unfortunately, I missed learning to speak and listening comprehension, which are the most important things in learning a foreign language. Translating written texts does not teach speaking and listening comprehension. The second issue was the lack of motivation and, above all, the lack of learning skills outside of lessons. I mean, learning how to speak and understand the usage of the language I was learning. I was not satisfied with my homework and it did not bring me closer to developing my language skills.
What prompted me to sign up for the course? The assurance of Konrad that I would learn to speak a foreign language during the course and understand what others were saying, and that I would learn appropriate learning techniques. These assurances were supported by many positive opinions of people participating in previous editions of this course. It was also important for me to adjust the learning time individually, and to have the support and motivation from the teacher and other course participants. Besides, the cost of the course was very important to me. Compared to full-time courses in language schools, it was much cheaper, there were convenient payment methods, the possibility of free resignation at any time during the course and, most importantly, a money-back guarantee in the case of a lack of learning results.
What did I like the most about the course? The fact that I broke my language barrier. During the course, I understood that learning could be effective and that, contrary to what I thought before, everyone is able to learn a foreign language. Another important fact is that the course is very motivating and disciplining in learning. By joining this course, it is impossible not to perform the everyday tasks. Learning enters the bloodstream and is very enjoyable.
How do I assess the learning outcomes after 3 months? I had concerns whether after such a short course (90 days) I would achieve the results I dreamed of. I was not disappointed. I understand a lot by ear, I can express myself at a basic level and, importantly, I know how to develop linguistically, what materials to use, where to look for them. I also learned the appropriate method and ways of learning.
I was diagnosed with an "addiction" to everyday contact with this language
Attention, this is a very dangerous language course! After three months of "Around Spanish in 90 days" I was diagnosed with an "addiction" to everyday contact with this language, the basics of which I had long wanted to learn. Well, motivation is not everything, and you also need a strategy. And it is precisely the strategy that is helpful in the learning process that I am extremely grateful to.
Thanks to specially prepared flashcards, I got to know the most frequently used Spanish phrases, words and their forms, always in appropriately selected contexts. This is the perfect solution for me: I like to learn like a typical self-taught person, but at the same time, I need feedback and care (I will allow myself some recently fashionable words) from a coach or mentor. The unique approach of the author of the course made me realize the weaknesses of my previous attempts to learn languages. During the course, there was also a lot of emotion and gentle competition, as groups of participants collected points.
At the end, I have nothing else to do but write: ¡Muchas gracias por todo!
I liked the competition between groups
What was my biggest challenge before I signed up for the course? Lack of regularity.
What made me sign up for the course? The author of the course is a polyglot, so I decided that this is a person who knows what he is talking about in the subject of language learning 😉 I read his advice before and all the information spoke to me.
What did I like the most about the course? The flashcards that I got every day, with pronunciation for each card. The fact that I did not have to create them myself, i.e. waste time typing them. Additionally, I liked the competition between groups, which additionally motivated me, and the fact that by learning, you could help others. All of this together, from the point of view of additional "motivation" for everyday learning, is brilliant.
How do I evaluate the learning outcomes? Of course, it all depends on how much time you spend on learning. Be prepared to spend at least one hour a day, every day, for the duration of the course. Effects - a guarantee that you will be able to express yourself on basic topics in the language you have learned. The fact that you will speak is certain, only your vocabulary will depend on your individual work.
