What does our Beginner Brazilian Portuguese course look like?

Every new course season starts weekly and lasts 24 weeks (6 months).
The next course will start on June 9, 2026 and sign-ups are open till June 9, 2026, midnight Central European Time (CET).
You are added into a group where there are other students learning the same language as you.
You can learn at home - on your smartphone or computer - and at any time, which means that there's no "fixed hours" for learning or lessons.
The course is hosted on our dedicated Globott application, where there are specially prepared flashcards. These help with learning new sentences in the blink of an eye!
Globott uses artificial intelligence to plan the pace at which you learn and repeat material. Consequently, speed & intensity are individually adjusted to you!
The course uses the latest scientific techniques to increase motivation, which makes learning more engaging and fun. As a result, our students study 4-5 days a week on average.
Our flashcards only have recordings of native speakers, which avoids the interference of mispronunciation by other students (or by non-native teachers).
Starting from week 2 you receive weekly dialogues (50 in total).
You learn the most important structures & vocabulary of a given language. As a result, it's possible to have conversations about the most basic topics, after just a few months!
Our course is designed in such a way that it is suitable for all learning styles (Fire, Water, Air and Earth); and it develops all four language skills: listening, writing, speaking and reading.
You have interesting weekly assignments, which allow you to check your knowledge of your chosen foreign language and the country where this language is spoken.
When something is unclear, you can ask teachers questions directly on the flashcards. In addition, you can also see other students’ questions and answers.
Best of all, you can receive points for daily learning and for completing assignments. Consequently, you can then exchange these points for prizes!
Most importantly, you start from scratch, so the aim is to achieve a level of basic communication (A2 level).

What was the biggest problem for me before I enrolled in the course? Mainly I had problems with listening and pronunciation. I think it was not as good as it should have been.
What made me sign up for the course? My greatest motivation to start this course were my Brazilian friends. I wanted to understand them and to communicate better. In general, I felt that my Portuguese was not at the level I wanted. I was also inspired by interesting videos, podcasts, webinars about this course, methods of learning that I watched earlier.
What did I like the most about the course? I liked many things especially the possibility of everyday learning at any time of the day with a good application. I also liked the recordings of a native speaker on the flashcards and a lot of sentences of the language used every day, i.e. colloquial, good communication through comments and e-mail in case of ambiguity of a particular sentence from the course. I also like the good and clear explanation in the form of video and written form of how to work with the cards in the app and what is to be done in a particular week of the course. Also the prizes that could be won for points received from daily learning and group tasks were encouraging. Also the help for a sick child (If someone studies every day, 7 days a week in a row the teacher of the course donates a certain amount to help a sick child)
How do I assess the effects of learning after 3 months? I am very pleased with this course! In general my Portuguese is much better than before. And most importantly, this is confirmed by my friends from Brazil who are the best, in my opinion, "examiners" of my learning. I think I have found a learning system that suits me so ... What was the biggest problem for me before I enrolled in the course? Sometimes I had no motivation to sit on my butt and start studying :)

What made me sign up for the course? I was already following the Secrets of Polyglots website and I had read Konrad's book. Due to having 2 young children at home, full-time stationary courses were eliminated, so I liked the home-study form of this course and the fact that the offer included languages that I had long wanted to learn (Portuguese and Norwegian).
What did I like the most about the course? I liked the fact that, whether I wanted it or not, I had to study practically every day 🙂 Thanks to the course I learned to use every possible minute, because there were very intense weeks, where there was a lot of learning. I did not want to be left behind, so I did not waste time on the so-called "time eaters" and I devoted every possible moment to learning.
How I evaluate the effects of learning after 3 months? I am very satisfied. I feel that I have a good command of the material covered in the course.

I often lacked being systematic or motivated to learn. After the fantastic adventure "Around Italian in 90 days" (which I am continuing), I also decided to start learning Portuguese and once again I do not regret my decision.

Cooperation with others, charitable causes and secret awards made my problems related to both the lack of motivation and regularity fade into oblivion. This course is a combination of the advantages of a traditional language course and an online version. We learn alone, at a convenient time, but in theory not alone, because in a group and under the guidance of a fantastic teacher. What is the price?

In a standard language school, in order to reach a conversational level, you would usually need to attend the course for at least one year and spend around EUR 600-1,000!
