I have started to understand the basic Polish used in day to day life
What were your challenges with language learning before enrolling in our course? There were loads of confusions, like where to start from, whether to start with Grammar or learn the pronunciations etc. However globott brought an absolutely wonderful blend of all the right starters and built up to my first milestone of learning basic Polish.
What prompted you to sign up for this course? I always wanted an easy way to learn foreign languages. When I learnt about this app which omits all the odd and complicated approaches of the old school language learning methods and realized the easiness of learning through the natural and modern way, I had to sign up. Language learning can't be easier and more fun than this Globott way.
What did you like the most about the course? The anytime access to learning without any fixed schedules. Also the detailed explanations of each sentence and the combination of audio and visual aids made it all the more easy and fun to learn.
How would you rate the learning outcome at the end of the course? With such a short span and such less expense of time and efforts, I would give it 10/10 for the course. The outcome is indeed overwhelming as I have started to understand the basic Polish used in day to day life..
The teachers are very helpful and were answering my questions in such a way that not even my Polish friends were able to
What were your challenges with language learning before enrolling in our course? In general my biggest issues were figuring out the cases. It’s a concept that is just beyond me.
What prompted you to sign up for this course? Well, I like a challenge and I was challenged to sign up for a contest to see if my “reason” to learn Polish was compelling enough to win a slot.
What did you like the most about the course? I like that you get a bunch of different sentences using the same word in different ways, just like what I said earlier about the cases. It really helps to see the different forms of one word used in different ways and spelled in different ways.
How would you rate the learning outcome at the end of the course? I would rate firstly the teachers, it’s not a live teaching platform. The teachers are very helpful and were answering my questions in such a way that not even my Polish friends were able to. As far as the program itself I liked the weekly challenges and that the system uses an algorithm to give you the flashcards in a certain way. That being said I am a very busy person and I was not able to use the flashcards properly on each day. I think that in order to really get the most out of this program you need to be able to devote at least 1 hour per day or more, and being honest you won’t learn a language quickly if you aren’t serious about it.
A system of language learning part humanistic and part digital
What were your challenges with language learning before enrolling in our course? With the Polish language, the unfamiliarity with the sounds, alphabets and lack of knowledge in vocabulary were the top most challenges. Apart from it on a personal level, lack of organization to sit in a classroom setup for learning was another major factor.
What prompted you to sign up for this course? I admired the opportunity from the team to enroll in a system of language learning part humanistic and part digital through the application.
What did you like the most about the course? Spontaneous communication, engagement from the end of Globott team, and personalized pace (which at times is a curse when you can't organize or dedicate the time)
How would you rate the learning outcome at the end of the course? My learning is still in progress, but to be honest most important thing is that now I try to actively listen to the polish language and make some sense (extremely basic level though), but before that, if there were such sounds in my surroundings, I didn't let them reach my ears even, let alone processing and understanding.
